I'm 5'7", neither thin nor fat, just somewhere in the middle, which is fine by me! I work in a college library while going to school. I'm going to be getting my BA in History in December, then will be starting my master's degree (Library Science) in September 2008. I love learning and might end up a lifelong student.

I grew up in a very conservative Christian family. My father was a pastor and both my grandfather's as well. Realizing that I couldn't deny my attraction to women, I came out when I was 19. It was pretty traumatic! When I came out, I really turned my back on God as well because I couldn't seem to coordinate my sexuality with the Bible. Of course, I now know that I had been taught a very limited version of the Bible growing up. This past year my faith has been renewed and I am finally at peace with my sexuality and my belief in God. It's been an amazing experience which I am trying to share with those around me. I don't belong to a church because of two reasons: 1). I haven't found one that I feel comfortable with in my area and 2). I really have a distrust of organized religion because of what I saw growing up.

I'm kind, loving, nurturing, friendly, intelligent, cute, and I love to laugh. I enjoy reading and writing, learning and loving. I'm neither femme nor butch. I prefer the term macho-femme! I have brown hair that comes to my shoulders and blue eyes. If there's anything else you'd like to know, just ask! I have been a Christian for as long as I can remember. I have only just come to accept that I am also lesbian - not butch, though. I love wearing dresses just as much as jeans. It depends on the occasion, and my mood.

I am 5'4", with brown highlighted hair and velvet blue eyes, and although I weighed 335 lbs at one time, I now weigh 167. Yes, I had a gastric bypass in 2002, and yes, I have the nasty scar to prove it.

I am a devoted single mother of three delightful daughters aged 11 yo, 7yo, and 7 months.

I am playful, dedicated, compassionate and empathetic.

My first real lesbian relationship has seemingly just ended after a year. Thanks to my past, I bruise easilly, so be gentle. (heard the song by Natashia Beddingfield?)

I want to be loved and accepted, and whomever decides to be a part of my life needs to know that I will always be a Mom. I am good at balancing though, and my girls are aware of my sexual preferance. Because of their pasts, they actually prefer my being lesbian.

I am looking to develop a network of supportive women with which to communicate. I do hope someday to share long walks, sunsets, and snuggles on a rainy day with just the right woman.

I was brought up in the Baptist church where the two did not mix. I have reconciled the two now and embrace this unique gift of being a lesbian.

I came out when I was 29 years old. I am neither butch nor femme. I am in the middle, but more butch than femme.

I love to play with my dog, sing and play music. I know how to play the alto sax and flute. I want to learn how to play guitar. I love to read and watch TV, and being on the Internet.

Although I have been a Christian my whole life, I went through many years hating the word "Christian" because I thought that meant anti-gay. Even now, I have a hard time dealing with the politics of the term. I miss the Jesus of my childhood, the Jesus who loves animals and all his children, not the Jesus of the current political system.

Although I would love to lose another 50 pounds, I like who I am, and I would rather be all alone than be with someone who doesn't love me unconditionally. I currently live with my mom and step dad while attending graduate school. I am pursuing my degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education. My goal is to be a GLBT advocate for students, although I want to be an advocate for all students.

I like watching movies and reading. And although I have my undergraduate degree in Writing, I don't have much of a desire to write at this time in my life. I like playing board games, softball, volleyball, and miniature golf.

I have to admit I've lived a pretty isolated life. I never dated anyone, so I consider myself quite naïve about relationships. I'm a bit of a night owl. I have two jobs, and both of them are at night. I've been working as a personal care worker for the past 7 years, and during the past year started a second job working at a popular coffee/donut store (if you're Canadian, you'll know where I mean *smiles*)

I used to be quite athletic, and could be convinced by the right person to be so again. I enjoy going out early in the morning and taking scenic pictures during the sunrise. I'm not into bars, clubs, or drinking....not even on a casual, once or twice a year basis. Truth be told, I'm much more of a home body than anything else.
