AT ONE WITH GOD, ( atonement)
One word summarizes everything God does for us through the cross, GRACE, and one word summarizes the response that activates all of this in our lives FAITH, To have faith,or to believe, means to trust in someone you know. When we really know God, we will trust him,and when we trust him , we will obey him.Thats why believing and obeying and knowing God are interchangeable concepts in the Bible. It is meaningless for us to say we believe in Jesus, but not do what He says.
We have just celebrated the greatest event in the history of man, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His death on the cross provided redemption from sin, reconciliation back to God where sin had brought separation. He has given us a way back to the Father, by paying the ultimate price for our trangressions. Jesus shows us how to love him and others, how to be followers, His disciples to lead others to the saving knowledge of His sacrifice, He gave himself, to be the propituation for our sins, how can we not trust Him, obey Him, He gave it all so that we could have life eternal with Him.
