Israel is the land where scripture, faith and history are joined together - where prophecy and God's promises were spoken and continue to be fulfilled in the present day.

Our faith grew up there and as we read scriptures we get some descriptions of the geography. Thus, a visit to Israel leads us to grow into a deeper understanding of the Holy Scriptures. Those who have travelled to the country or been immersed in a travelogue of Israel make the connection between the geographical place, the historical sites, the ethnic population living there in the past, and the Biblical events that happened according to the written word. The Scriptures are transformed from a mere text to a three dimensional experience. Reading the word - and realizing how it all comes together - suddenly makes the whole Bible (Old and New Testaments) come alive!

Being able to visit archaeological excavations in Israel can open a new aspect of history, helping Christians to realize the Bible is historically rooted. Imagine how it feels to recognize the names of places mentioned in the Bible, like Jerusalem, Galilee, Armageddon, Capernaum, Magdala, or heroes' names like Yael (Jael), Gideon, Deborah and others ...

Tourists who have visited the Land of Israel tell that they experienced the special spiritual atmosphere of the country as they stand in awe and examine where Abraham, David, and Jesus walked. Yet Israel has become a modern state, and as Moses was promised, it has become the "Promised Land" for the Israelites.

In addition, Israel is an extremely welcoming country for the gay community. The gay community is accepted in a gay-friendly and open-minded society, the only country in that part of the world to be that accepting. It is common to see gay couples, sometimes with their children, strolling and holding hands along the streets of Tel Aviv which has a large gay population.

Tel Aviv has gay-friendly coffee shops, restaurants, and night clubs. It is a mosaic of various types of people. There are several active parades, including the pride parade. The artist's market is known for its unique attractions. In such an atmosphere gay Christians can feel comfortable.
